Problem Statement

How might we create a series of compelling videos that not only showcase SellRaze’s unique features but also resonate with young entrepreneurs, inspiring them to download the app and trust it as a tool to grow their online businesses?

Fuels e-commerce discovery
Young sellers are more inclined to leverage digital platforms and social media to discover market trends and optimize their sales strategy. In our surveys, a significant portion of respondents highlighted SellRaze as a go-to platform for accessible tools and resources, emphasizing its role in helping new sellers navigate the complexities of e-commerce and connect with the right audiences.

Sellers value control over automated suggestions
Our data reveals that over 70% of young sellers prefer having a hands-on approach to customizing their online stores rather than relying solely on automated suggestions. They believe that tailoring their content, messaging, and product displays better reflects their brand identity. Interviewees noted that while automated tools are helpful, they sometimes lack the personal touch that resonates with customers.

A need for efficient ways to track performance insights
Many young sellers mentioned challenges in keeping up with their sales metrics and tracking customer engagement. They expressed a desire for easier ways to save and access performance insights. Some sellers even reported needing to jump between platforms or spend time manually compiling data, which disrupts workflow and productivity.

The gap between discovering e-commerce tools and effectively sharing insights often leads to missed opportunities, as young sellers find themselves caught between education and implementation. While they appreciate resources that help them learn, they value platforms that simplify sharing insights, discovering strategies, and building their brand in a cohesive ecosystem.

The Process

Inspiration + Scripting/Storyboard (1 Day)

I gather a collection of existing videos that align with the SellRaze’s tone and successfully capture audience attention. Inspiration is crucial to craft engaging stories tailored to SellRaze’s unique value proposition and target audience, as well as setting expectations of what the final video would look like. Examples of inspiration and script is provided below:


Music + Animatic (1 Day)

I then search and splice together music tracks that would set the right tone and energy for the video from an extensive Royalty Free Music Library. With the selected audio in place, I create the animatic: high-fidelity stills of what the final video would look like matched with the beat of the music to confirm timing and flow. Below is an example of an animatic:

Animation + Iteration (1-2 Days)

The next 1-2 days, I focus intensively on animating and delivering iterations quickly. I send version updates to the team regularly, incorporating feedback promptly to refine the visuals and ensure alignment with the project’s scope.

The Result: SellRaze grew to 5,000 active users following the release of my animated promotional content. These engaging ads effectively showcased the platform’s features, driving user engagement and accelerating growth.
